The Black Gallery, in partnership with the Bank of Expensify and powered by Don’t Shoot Portland Had their Black Renaissance Art Auction taking on November 28, 2023, set to coincide with the global charity initiative Giving Tuesday. This event not only showcases exceptional artwork from talented, socially engaged artists but will also ensured the significant impact it created by channeling the proceeds toward Don’t Shoot Portlands’ low barrier community activism endeavors. 

        The opening reception was on November 28 from 1 to 6pm at Bank of Expensify, 401 SW 5th Avenue.  The auction remained open for bidding through January 1, 2024 in an effort to bring together artists, philanthropists, and passionate individuals dedicated to making a profound difference in our community. By combining the power of art and community engagement, the Black Renaissance Art Auction elevated the collective voice of our society. Artist talks, educational info sessions and experiential activations were be free and open to the public throughout the length of the exhibit.
